Renovation & Raise of an existing house

"Architecture is a turn of mind and not a job"
Le Corbusier

Turning a suburban house into a contemporary architectural house means integrating a new vision of the house design and its original features. In this project, Marcella Briza Interiors has reworked the design of the facade as well as the distribution of interior spaces, starting from the client's wish to raise the timber frame to create a large master suite. A home automation system operates the invisible air conditioning equipment and controls all apartment functions such as blinds, heating, alarm or lighting.

Challenge

In this project, the challenge was to convert a 1980 suburb house into a contemporary house with a swimming pool. To do this, Marcella Briza Interiors has taken over and redesigned the old façade by adding an additional floor dedicated to the parental suite. For the deck and access to the pool, MBI took a holistic, integrated approach to space by including exterior space to the interior space which created fluidity of movement, clarity and promoted an immediate sense of well-being. The main theme of this approach was to find a balance between space design, color and material.

Added Value

Marcella Briza Interiors plays with technical constraints like a game of chess, a game of reflection and creation that broadens the field of research by promoting technology for innovation. MBI Studio creates more than just a project, a way of life where comfort and well-being thrive in all spaces.
Marcella Briza Interiors ensures that each of its architectural and interior design matches the personality of each owner. By cultivating a perfect balance between tradition, innovation and environmental design ethic, Marcella Briza Interiors plays a partition all in contrasts and subtlety.
